As I advance through life, I discover how complicated life can be. I become more aware of the imprint that my experiences, as well as those of my forefathers, have left on me. I discover that those experiences become a part of my existence, and to some degree govern how I move in this world.
As I embarked on a journey to heal and finding myself, I discovered many defense mechanisms that I had created to mask my insecurities. Introspection was a very uncomfortable process but something was drawing me deeper into my being. There in depravity, I discovered something inside me that opposed everything vile . There it was, longing to be uncovered, my God nature. The piece of Him that exists in each of us. When a earnest search for truth is turned inwardly, one will find the Way, the Truth and the Life. My hope is that you will join me in the quest to find God in you. On the way you are sure to encounter joy and a peace that surpasses all understanding.
Our mission is to provoke dialogue and ultimately find resolutions for issues that adversely affect relationships in the afro American / Afro Caribbean community. Our belief is that many of our issues are the result of trauma associated with the brutality of slavery and Jim Crow laws. Our intention is to shed light on the spiritual / psychological warfare that was waged on the African diaspora as well as the indigenous people of the Americas in attempts to make slaves and solidify European supremacy in North America. The attempt to destroy us was systematic in nature. Our recovery must be systematic as well. We will promote personal and corporate healing and atonement for the advancement of our community.
